Tropical Metal Products (TMP) continues to assist the people of the Riverton City community.

The company pays school and examination fees, buys uniforms, books and from time to time provides school children with bus fares and lunch. TMP also assists the area Basic School. TMP is committed to giving whatever help it can to the people of the community.

There are several innovative people in Riverton City who have found creative ways of making a living while at the same time helping to clean up our environment. A few of the activities include the following:

• collecting of plastic bottles; the bottles are then washed and sold.
• collecting of scraps from the dump which are used to make pots.
• fishing at the River; the catch is sold or used to feed families in the area.
• collecting scrap materials which are used to make beautiful bedspreads.
